What to expect as a bachelor student?
For the Bachelor programs, the Program Introduction will take place on the 18th of August 2025 to kick-start your academic career. Participation is mandatory for all students.
During the Program Introduction, you will meet your Academic Director and mentor group, which will also be your tutorial group throughout the year. A week later, you will meet your Education Coordinator. The Education Coordinator will provide you with detailed information about your study program. Finally, you will get to know your fellow students better during several fun activities, where you will have to work together!
Registration
Depending on your study, you have to be present at different times. The following times are for registration next monday:
- BK, EBE, and FE between 08:30 and 08:50 at the Tilburg University Sport Centre
- IBA between 09:00 and 09:20 at the Tilburg University Sport Centre
- E&BI, ECO, and EOR between 09:35 and 09:55 at the Tilburg University Sport Centre.
Check your university email's inbox for more info and your study group! If you have not received an email for us, come anyway at one of the times mentioned above so you can be added to a group. If you will also participate in TOP Week, you can register for both at once!
With MAK, we have prepared a fun and interactive program! Let us take you through the program:
UniQuest
We start the day off with an UniQuest, an interactive quiz based on the television program '1 vs 100'. You will compete against other teams, and try to win prizes for you and your group. Questions relating to Tilburg and student life will catch you up to speed for a good start here in Tilburg.
Economic Simulation
When playing the Cornershop simulation, you get to experience what it is like to take over the management of a virtual convenience store! Decide on what strategic decisions to take, analyse the main indicators of the store after each period and battle against your competitors to take over the market! Only one Cornershop can be the best!
Lunch
Around the C-building, there will be a festival-like food truck lunch with live music which will give you enough energy for the rest of the day!
MAK-Mania Bingo
Get to know your fellow students during this exciting part of the MAK Introduction Day! Take part in fun games and activities to complete your bingo card. Together with your group you’ll discover campus while you tackle an obstacle course, take group photos, build a human pyramid, and much more.
Be sure to complete your entire bingo card — if you do, you might earn something useful for later this day!
Student Sounds festival
This year will be our second year hosting a festival to end the MID! After all the activities during the day, this is the perfect time to chill. Enjoy the music and the sun together with your (new) friends alongside some free drinks! Who wouldn't enjoy this?
Information Per Study (week after the introduction week)
During the Information Per Study-session that will take place in the week after the introduction week, the Educational Coordinator and the Academic Director will tell you all relevant information about your study to start off your year.
A Perfect Start
In this booklet, you can find all information you need to know when starting a program at Tilburg University. It includes information about courses, examinations, studying at Tilburg University, study progress and the possibilities to become active besides your studies. During the Program Introduction, you will also receive some information about the Digital Learning Environment of Tilburg University (e.g. how to work with Osiris or Canvas).
